Self-taught Stockholm-based textile artist and fashion designer Diana Orving has never been one to follow the crowds. In a photographic exhibition, staged exclusively for The New Era at Liljevalchs art gallery and captured by photographer Erik Lefvander, Orving shares some of her most recent sculptural works.
Playing with gravity and dynamic movement, Orving’s work is a sensual exploration of fabric. “The industry is fast-paced and does not really allow for reflection,” she says about her recent decision to take a break from fashion.
